As part of this year's Malton Literature Festival, the organisers are running short story and poetry competitions. Stories should be no more than 2,000 words, poems no more than 40 lines. All submissions should be original and previously unpublished/not previous competition winners. The competition closing date is 24th September 2011, and winners will be announced on the 23rd October 2011 at a festival event.
