HG Wells Short Story Competition 2012
The HG Wells Festival has announced details of a short story competition. Stories between 2,000 and 5,000 words, in any genre (you aren't expected to write Wellsian SF) but on the theme "The Sea" may be entered. The competition closing date is 22nd July 2012. There's a £250 grand prize and a £1000 prize for writers under 26. There's also £100 for the neatest handwritten entry! Winners and runners-up will also be published in an anthology.
